Great but could be Amazing

I truly love this app, however, there are quite a few typos in the messages about chemicals. The health portion and other parts make me reluctant to share those pages on Facebook. I dont want to "stay hard" I would prefer to "stay strong", also there is a screen that says "this is much money" it should read "this is a lot of money". These are only minor things as this app has already saved me from cracking several times. Oh one other thing... I would like the achievement to read " I have not smoked "x" amount of cigarettes" instead of it saying that I have saved them. I am not saving them at all!!! Like is said, minor things, this app is awesome!!!

Great

Great app that helps encourage me to stay focused on staying smoke free. I look at it every time I get a craving to smoke. I would like to have more encouraging connects or comparisons. Knowing I could have bought 7 coconuts in Panama doesnt help me. knowing I could buy a tank of gas or a shirt is encouraging because I can relate to that. Also it would be great to have simple reminders like how your hair dont stink or clothing. How you dont get out of a car with a smoke cloud over your head. Funny things like that would be great.

Great App!

Most quitting apps are unpolished, poorly coded, poorly designed visually and often overrun with 12 step bs. This app is well designed, being aesthetically and organizationally well done. The addition of the health progression tracking (under health tab) and goals/rewards is great! However, MANY people use nicotine supplaments to quit. Having a setting to adjust health status/goals for those on patches is really needed. Gum has been shown not to be as good an option due to compulsive behavioral feedback. Just remove goals based on nicotine content in the bloodstream and allow a user to enable those goals/stats when they decide to go off nicotine supplements. More relatable comparisons on money saved would be helpful. Gas is a BIG motivator these days. Another great option would be app badges and alerts alerting you when you have reached a certain health goal. That is great encouragement! You guys do this and I will sing your praises on high daily! No really, one year of me posting about this app daily.

Great App!

This app definitely keeps you updated on your progress. Ive been a non-smoker now for exactly 7 mo, 4 days, 6 hrs, 38 sec. And I dont think I could have done it without the apps updates along the way informing me of the benefits and my progress. I was 2 pack a day smoker for 16 years. And I dont miss it at all.

So twenty years of smoking and after attempting to quit utilizing every technique this app really helped. I quit smoking cold turkey four months ago today.

Migrated from Get Rich or Die Smoking, which isnt on iPhone yet. Would love to have community message board. It really adds another dimension of support. In general, like the app. Good number and variety of stats.

Awesome but....

Would be nice if it incorporated the use of cessation aids like the patch or nicotine gum etc. Reading milestone notes is a great way to distract from cravings.

I really like this app! And now I see why others does as well. I like how every time I want to have a smoke I just go to this app and look at the health tips and dangerous of smoking and the chemicals it has in it that I would have never known . Quit now for everyone who smokes. Dont die at your own risk.!

Helps a lot! Specialy during the first months! By the way, never include the aids (gums, path, etc) like people ask, this is the only one for cold turkey method

Helps keep you motivated to quit with progress reports. Aesthetically looks cool too. Some health information is a little skewed though

This app is great positive encouragement for those tempting moments! It is much easier to stay quit when all the positives are laid out like this. I find the totals of the toxins avoided the most encouraging (and disgusting) part!

Best of this type

There are a few other apps out there which motivate staying quit by the same principles - showing progress toward health improvements and recovery and also accumulating savings from not smoking. I find this to be the best, with an excellent interface, more detailed breakdown of health improvements, % recovery progress on each item and time remaining until 100% is reached, also for how long you have been at 100% recovery. Critically, there are several health items in the few days, first week, and month. Most of the major ones, like reduction in lung cancer risk to that of a non smoker take as long as 10 years to reach, but this I expect will be an excellent reinforcement to not have "just one" after 6-12 months of abstinence. That seems to be my problem and the "just one" becomes "just one more" a few days later, then again, until some emotional or work stress event happens and my resolve fails completely. A look at this app, seeing the progress meters moving forward and the savings racking up, might just stop the very first "just one" from ever happening. You can also use this app even if you arent quitting yet or are having trouble staying committed to quitting. Just set your quit date and give quitting a good try. If you fail and take a few days before getting ready to give it another try, look at the health and savings progress you would have reached by the time you are going to try again. This is actually how I got past my first few false starts. My one complaint is that there seems to be no way to "claim" one of your targets or reward gifts (things you can buy with your savings, user setable) and have the money deducted equally or proportionally from all other targets. That would be a great new feature.

Good app

It has a lot of useful info, but doesnt let u select future quit date. I think live strong app is a little more helpful. But in reality----we control out will power and our lives. So cant really blame app for smoking :)

Gives really good up to the second information and updates about your health and money saved. I wish it had tips.
